This 5-key flute by the renowned Scottish maker George Ormiston was bought new by the present owner in 2004. It has seen little use in recent years and is offered for sale in excellent condition. It features an oval 'Rudall & Rose' style embouchure hole that gives the flute a sweetness to complement its typically strong sound. The flute is padded with soft white pads in very good condition that make for a crisp feeling under the fingers. There are no cracks in the wood. The keys work without excess play. The flute comes in its original velvet lined wooden case.
