Our small workshop concentrates on making new wooden headjoints for modern players,
and the careful mainentance of Rudall Cartes. The knowledge gained from each of these practices, over twenty-five years, informs the other.
HASWELL HEADJOINTS
Handmade in the traditional way, our headjoints enhance both silver and wood flutes.
Richard Craig's latest recording, '(quasi una) Fantasia'
was released by Ulysses Arts on 7th November 2025.
Telemann's Fantasia No.5, with its wide contasts of dynamics and articulation,
demonstrates well the combination of a classic Rudall Carte wooden flute
coupled with a Haswell Unlined Grenadilla Headjoint.
